My educational qualifications are: (1) Bachelor of Engineering (Honors) – Production Engineering from College of Engineering, Guindy, Madras University, (2) PGDIE from NITIE (currently, IIM, Mumbai), and (3) PhD (Management Science) from University of Alabama, Tuscaloosa, USA. As of January 2025, I have published 145 research papers, 26 conference proceedings, and four books/study-guides. The research papers have attracted more than 13,000 Google Scholar citations with an h-index of 51 and more than 4900 Scopus citations with an h-index of 37. My research publications are in the areas of Operations and Supply Chain Management, Management Science, and General Management. My 10 years of experience in different industries has helped me integrate the theoretical and practical aspects in the field of business I have 10 years of professional experience and 24 years of academic experience. My professional experience includes companies such as Premier Automobiles, Patni Computers, DHL, and RPG Enterprises. My 20 years of academic experience includes working as a professor in public and private universities in Malaysia. For the last four years, I am affiliated to Thiagarajar School of Management, Madurai, India. In my academic career, I have supervised/co-supervised more than 60 MSc (Research) and PhD students in Malaysia. My areas of specializations are Operations and Supply Chain Management, Management Science, and Statistics. My teaching experience includes undergraduate and post graduate students (including PhDs), mainly the quantitative subjects. I have been listed in the Stanford list of top 2% world’s most influential scientists during the years 2021 and 2023, and 2024. I am also listed among the ‘Top 15 Scientists’ in India during the year 2024 in Business and Management by Research.com. Besides, I have won Teaching and Research excellence awards at universities in Malaysia.
