I am Dr. Divya Patel,Consultant Physiotherapist ,won the title of IMIRAC 2026 under the International Excellent Academician Award for the excellence in the research study titled “Comparison of Hand Grip Strength and Hand–Arm Anthropometric Measures among Volleyball and Basketball Players: A Cross-Sectional Study (Physiotherapy Branch).” Currently I am practicing as the owner of Healing Hands Physiotherapy Clinic, Vansada, Gujarat, India. I hold a Master’s degree in Musculoskeletal Sciences and have significant experience in both clinical and academic settings. I combine evidence-based rehabilitation with patient-centered care to optimize functional outcomes.
I have previously served as an Assistant Professor at Sumandeep Vidyapeeth, where I mentored undergraduate students, guided research projects, and contributed to curriculum delivery in Exercise Therapy. My clinical and research experience spans musculoskeletal rehabilitation, community physiotherapy, and frailty management.
I have actively contributed to multiple research projects, including ICMR-funded studies (contributing to study design, data collection, analysis, and manuscript preparation), and have published in reputed peer-reviewed journals. My work includes studies on sarcopenia, frailty, rheumatoid arthritis rehabilitation, and sports physiotherapy. I have also contributed as a co-investigator in funded research projects and have experience in both quantitative and qualitative research methodologies, including the use of NVivo software. I have presented my research at international platforms, including the World Physiotherapy Congress 2023, Dubai.
Recognized with the International Best Researcher Award (IIRAC 2025), I am passionate about integrating research into clinical practice, promoting preventive healthcare, and advancing physiotherapy through innovation and education.
