Priyonkon Chatterjee is a Kolkata-based young economist and educator. Born on 1995, in Kolkata, Priyonkon grew up in Serampore, Hooghly district. He completed his schooling at the Mahesh Sri Ramakrishna Ashram and pursued his undergraduate studies in Economics at Serampore College. He then earned his postgraduate degree from the University of Calcutta. Currently, he is a PhD scholar of Economics in University of Calcutta. Along with that he serves as a faculty member in the Department of Economics at Women’s Christian College, Kolkata. His area of research interest is Development Economics, Socio-economic impact & Urban Economics. He has been an active speaker at many national conferences on these topics. He also owns a coaching Institute especially for teaching Economics in graduation level. He is a popular educator. He is known for his passionate teaching skills. Beyond academia, Priyonkon is an accomplished Bengali writer. Several books have been published by him. He also writes stories on many digital platforms. Dual contributions to economics and Bengali literature have garnered attention, reflecting his commitment to both fields.
